My #AFLGF Promise

Evening guys, I’m currently on my way home from my failed photography session at Port Lonsdale. Don’t get me started. Long story short, the battery to my 600D died 30 minutes into the session so instead, I took a nap on the grass for a couple of hours.

Anyway, this blog post isn’t about what I did today, this blog post is about this years’ AFL Grand Final. Yes,our team made it again. Collingwood v Geelong. Saturday 1 October. Hopefully the mighty magpies will take home the trophy once again, winning back-to-back premierships.

Which leads me to the main part of this blog post. If Collingwood win the 2011 AFL Grand Final this Saturday against Geelong, I will be donating AUD$50 plus AUD$1 for every point that Collingwood win by plus AUD$1 for every disposal Dane Swan gets aaannnnnd AUD$10 for every goal Travis Cloke kicks to the Ronald McDonald House Charities Australia (RMHC).

I felt like it was time to give something back to charity since - no matter how generous I am - I have never given any significant dollar amount to charity, and I admit it. I may give stuff to my friends and family free of charge but it’s very rare that I give something - free of charge - to a complete random.

So, that’s my promise. $50 + $1 for every point Collingwood win by + $1 for every disposal Dane Swan gets + $10 for every goal Travis Cloke kicks. All to Ronald McDonald House Charities.

I will posting my donation receipt online as proof (on the following Sunday), and will only donate if Collingwood win this weekend. Go the Pies!
