The light at the end of the tunnel..

UPDATE: Scott’s finally put my broadband service back online, and it’s just like it’s always been! Thanks so much to him, and now everything’s back online! … And my dad can finally make calls.

After under 20 hours of being internet and home phone-less, arguments, and torture, we’re almost back online.

Kudos to Optus, (especially to Scott on the Social Media team) for helping me out, throughout these tough times, but I’m really surprised at Optus’ customer service, compared to Telstra’s.

But yeah, I’ve told Optus to re-activate the broadband service, told them modem details, S/N numbers, and the usual crap. And was going to be updated soon. Which was great, because I didn’t have to ring them for updates, they just rang me.

So, currently, I’m looking closely at my modem to see if the internet is finally up. And waiting for an update from Optus.
