iPad 2

This is confirmed.

I’ll be getting the iPad 2nd generation (Black, 16GB, WiFi + 3G) from the US on March 11, ahead of the Australian iPad 2 release on 25th of March. 

How? I’ve asked my relatives over in America to ship it to me straight away, when it comes out in retail stores at around 5pm. They will be shipping it to me via FedEx International Priority/UPS Worldwide Express, if you wanted to know. 

Because the mail cut-off time for FedEx/UPS is 5:15pm on March, it’s likely I won’t be able to get it earliest on Tuesday 15 March. But if they manage to ship it on Friday night/Saturday, then I would expect the package sometime Thursday 17 March.

I would most likely have a tracking number on me, so I can update the iPad’s progress towards my house, which is very, very exciting.

Now, the unboxing. If everything goes to plan, I will do an unboxing at 6pm AEST the night I receive the package. For example, if I receive the package on Thursday 17 March, I will not broadcast an unboxing until 6pm AEST that night. I will give everybody at least 2 hours notice on the broadcast. Sorry I couldn’t get an exact date of the unboxing, the post is very unpredictable on exact delivery dates!

And to everyone who goes to my school, I will bring the iPad the next school day to show off.

I will be updating the iPad 2’s progress on my homepage. NOT MY BLOG. I will be also listing the time, date, and status on where it is, and probably a likely chance of when I will get my package, and broadcast the unboxing. And of course, I’ll be tweeting the progress, as well.
